Whats going on around the Campus
Presently at Wesley Junior College we only offer night classes at this time which includes certificate Program and Associates Degree Programs. We offer Adult Contuning Education (A.C.E.) which is a one year Certificate program.
Programs offered:
Business:
An opportunity is given in this program for students to acquire an overview of the underlying principles for establishment of a sucessful business and the skills needed for the management and financial operation of a company. The program also includes the practical experience of setting up and running a small business.
General Studies without Major:
This program provides a broad range of subjects to give students a foundation for further study in the arts, social science, sciences or business. Students will be afforded the opportunity to gain knowledge from a combination of disciplines to facilitates specialization at a later time.
General Studies with Major:
This program acquaints students with the same broad range of subjects, and in addition, gives them the option to choose one area of specialization from any of the following subjects: Accounting, Caribbean Studies, History, Economics, Geography and Information Technology and other program offerings.
Computer Science:
Information System has become an essential part of the daily function of any institution or company. This program will equip students to face the challenge of working with computers and developing computer applications for managing information.
Music Education:
This program is a new initiative that offers students at the tertiary level an opportunity to acquire knowledge of musicology and instrumentation with the emphasis of teaching of music. It also provides a foundation for further study in the field of music.
Social Science:
In the Social Sciences, students will have a choice of pursuing a two-year course in two of the following options: Geography, History, and Economics. Students Opting for the Social Science majors must have pursued a course at the CXC level in the subject area choice.
Continuing Education:
Wesley Junior College provides a one-year certificate program in which students can take a range of enrichment courses that may be needed for on-the-job mobility, that help them to meet entry requirement to Associate Program or may just be sought for personal development.
