ATLIB Volleyball Competition 09.
The ATLIB Regional Volleyball competition was held at SJCJC’s gym. Wesley Junior College was the host of this competition.
WJC fielded both a male and a female team. The male team worked very hard but did not make it to the Nationals. However the female team was successful in this event and went on to the National Volley ball competition at Corozal Junior College. The female team was defeated by Independence Junior College, but the girls fought bravely and we are very proud of them. Most of the girls on the team will be at WJC next year, so they are already gearing up to do better and take home the trophy in 2010
BASKETBALL
There was no regional competition this year. The National competition will take place at SJCJC’s gym on November 28. WJC will be entering a male and a female team. Both teams have been working out very hard. One of our past students, John Marsden along with Shannon have volunteered to coach the male team. The female team is coached by Lincoln Jones, the Male Sports Rep. on the student Government.
We wish them good luck in this tournament and thank the teams for giving unselfishly of their time and energy to represent WJC in this event. Please go out and support the teams.
